Who owns Net Zero Niti
Net Zero Niti is owned by Naman Sharma, Delhi, India, and is maintained and published under Sustaynergy.
Sustaynergy is not a commercial vehicle for this work. It takes no equity investment against the registry and does not price the registry to any government body. Where Net Zero Niti is used by a public institution, it is on a partnership or grant basis.
What is owned, and what is not
The figures themselves are drawn from published Government of India sources. Facts are not subject to copyright and no claim is made over them. Anyone is free to go to the originating publication and read the same number.
What is owned is the compilation:
- the canonical indicator definitions, and the decisions about what counts as the same measure
- the normalisation of official figures into a structure that can be compared across time and across publishing bodies
- the source linkage recorded against every data point
- the record of where official sources diverge from one another

Download the record
The registry is published as a set of files under the licence above. They are generated from the working record and replaced in full at each release, rather than amended in place.
- nzn_registry.csv — one row per data point, each carrying its indicator, its vintage, and a link to the publication it came from
- nzn_registry.json — the same rows, for machine reading
- nzn_conflicts.csv — the divergences between official sources, both figures retained
- README.md — what every field means, how source authority is graded, and what this record does not do
- manifest.json — build date and licence for the release you are holding
Read the README before relying on a figure. It states the two tiers of confidence, the rule that units are published exactly as the source published them, and the limitations of the record as it currently stands.
Source attribution
The underlying figures originate in publications of the Government of India — its ministries and agencies, parliamentary records, and India's submissions to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change. A small number of non-government reference publications are also held, and are identified as such against the rows they support.
Net Zero Niti is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government body. This notice is a matter of accuracy, not a condition of the licence.
Every data point carries a link to the publication it came from. Where you intend to rely on a figure, follow that link and read it at source.
